Fiction and Depiction

As part of Ken Walton’s visit to our group, we’re organising a two day workshop on Fiction and Depiction that is due to take place on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July in Hamburg. The tentative schedule is below:

Friday July 17

14:30 – 16:00 Kathleen Stock (Sussex). Extreme Intentionalism about Fictional Content
16:30 – 18:00 Richard Woodward (Hamburg). Fictionality and Photography

Saturday July 18
11:00 – 12:30 Rob Hopkins (NYU). Synthesis in Imagination as the key to Collingwood’s account of expression
14:30 – 16:00 Paloma Atencia Linares (UNAM). Fiction and Nonfiction in Photography
16:15 – 17:45 Ken Walton (Michigan). How to think about fiction (and how not to)

The workshop will take place in Room 121 of the ESA-W building on Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1, Hamburg. Directions from the closest S-Bahn station at Dammtor can be found here.
