We’re very happy that Richard’s paper “Walton on Fictionality” has been accepted for publication in Philosophy Compass. The paper is an in-depth study of Walton’s proposal to analyse fictional truth in terms of what fictions prescribe appreciators to imagine, and is a follow up to Richard’s earlier Compass paper “Truth in Fiction” (2011). Given the prominence of Walton’s account both in the aesthetics literature on fiction and in the debate about fictionalism in metaphysics, the paper should be a very useful resource to researchers in both fields.
